Puss N Boots Plush Animal Doll' Description Fantastic and gorgeous antique stuffed Puss N Boots with a sublime outfit, fit for a king! This Puss N Boots has stationary arms and head, but there is wire in the so they are bendable. His nose is pink and black stitching on the fur face. He has jadeit green marble-like sewn on button eyes. He is wearing a very royal outfit with a gold medallion, beret and knee high boots. He is carrying gloves which look like fencing gloves and has some stitching on his other hand where perhaps a sword once rested. He is a very proud looking fellow. No label that I can find, one expert I emailed said it looked like an artist bear. Another thought it was too old to be an artist bear and was most likely German. The owner of this doll/plush told me she received it as a gift from friends of her parents when she and her family lived in Austria in the late 1940s. I dont know if was new when given to her or if it was vintage/antique at that time. Materials: I think the fur is mohair, but I cannot confirm this. Again, one person I consulted thought it was mohair, but I am not an expert in this area. I think the stuffing is likely kapok (batting) as it is firm but squishy and not sort of crunchy which might indicate excelsior (wood chips). I believe his gold shirt is made of silk and his boots are definitely made of leather. Dimensions: 14.5" tall and approximately 6" wide at widest point. Condition: This plush/doll is in very good condition. His fur is a little matted in places, and a little thin in others. But overall he and is gorgeous outfit are in very good condition.
