Gundikins, were a series of plush dolls with vinyl/rubber faces, issued from 1956 to about 1960, by the GUND Manufacturing Company. The “Tails” on his black plush jacket are lined with satin. Six round brass buttons and gold trim decorate the front of his jacket. 2 plastic white straps, (suspenders), criss-cross his chest, go over his shoulders, and criss-cross again on his back. There’s also a band of gold trim at the top of his black plush boots. IT'S BIG!! . His size is rather RARE, standing 25 ½” TALL; OVER 2 FEET. Most of the Gundikins I’ve seen measure between 9-12” tall. His original tag is intact and reads as follows: SOLDIER from BABES IN TOYLAND, Copyright Walt Disney Prod., The Wonderful Word of Gundikins, GUND Mfg. Co. (Refer to photos). No holes and firmly stuffed. There is soiling to his white hands. (Spot cleaner would most likely clean them right up). There’s also just a bit of color rubbed off on a few areas, nothing major..
