Never played with...used for display in a collection.   This auction features a very collectible vintage LARGE STEIFF Bengal Tiger in overall very good condition. This seated tiger dates from around 1959.  He measures 17" inches tall from his feet to the top of his ears.  His bear-faced chest tag is crisp except for one crease.  He has a raised silver button in his ear with Steiff written in raised script.    He has 6 whiskers on each side of his face, and has 4 teeth (fangs).  The top teeth measure 1 1/4" inches long...and the lower teeth are 1" inch long.  His jaw is constructed so that it moves up and down.  His 15" inch long tail easily wags from side to side.   The black stictching in his paws is in excellent condition.  Finally, he is extremely solid with no soft spots, no odors, and no loss of mohair.  His realistic-looking varigated green glass eyes are nice and tight, and the pink stitched nose is perfectly complete.     A great item to add to your collection, or would make a fantastic gift.    IT IS IN OVERALL WONDERFUL CONDITION. NO STAINS, NO FADING, NO REPAIRS.
